At Briarlea, we strive to ensure every resident enjoys life to the full; surrounded by home comforts and aided by the best quality care. – there are some services which we can’t rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider.
Briarlea’s building has a great deal of heritage, and we’ve tried to cherish the old world elegance that the home inspires. Are and the work they do to keep you and your loved ones safe. Sally is a trained chef and can often be found whipping up a treat for our residents in our brand new kitchen – her pièce de resistance is cheesecake gateau. Meanwhile, children Rupert and Victoria (grown-ups now themselves – how time flies!) often pop by to help run the summer fete & Christmas tombolas.

But in some scenarios, a doctor may advise that it’s better for a resident to move to a nursing home or a hospice, which is more suited to their palliative needs. However, we have a great relationship with our district nurses. They pop in regularly to deal with any medical issues our residents may have. If you’re cared for by your family, day care can offer peace of mind that you’ll be looked after while they’re at work.
It offers the opportunity to meet likeminded people and have some fun. You choose when to come in, when to leave and what meals you want to join. When a care home trains its staff, there is more empathy, more ideas and all-round better care.
About quality of care

Our mission is to facilitate and enrich the daily lives of our residents by providing an assisted living environment that enhances and stimulates their physical and emotional well-being.
Potentially, this might not be a residential home. You may be feel better in a supported living facility or a nursing home. We also have 2 dedicated respite bedrooms, so you can book a short stay of a few days to several weeks when family are taking a holiday, or you want some ‘me’ time. We also offer day care when families need to know you are safe and being cared for by our great team.
Residential care is given to people in a care home environment – like here at Briarlea. Of course, we would love to welcome everyone who expresses an interest in Briarlea. But it wouldn’t feel right to us if we weren’t acting in your best interest. At Briarlea, we will only encourage you to move in if we feel we can care for you safely. The atmosphere we’ve created here at Briarlea is a lot like a country house hotel – with you as our long-term patrons.
However, for some people, their medical needs will be at a level which are beyond the staffing volumes which are present in residential care. Residential care homes come in all shapes and sizes. At 27 rooms, Briarlea offers a homely, intimate environment, as opposed to other homes which can be much larger. We will provide our residents with the comfort of knowing that as their needs increase, they will continue to be able to stay in their home, with their friends and family, without needing to change homes.
Our eggs and potatoes hail from local farms, meats are bought in Evesham and the services we use like chiropodists, singers and tree surgeons all come from nearby. As expected with village life, there’s a great sense of community within the home too. It’s a beautiful, countryside setting with a friendly village community that cares for each other. At Briarlea, there’s lots of laughs to be had; and plenty of fun.
